SUSTAINABILITY & RESPONSIBILITY

We care about our planet and the environment. And in an industry where so much change needs to occur, we are doing our part.

 The health of the planet and the environment matter to us at SOULSKY and sustainability is one of our goals. Our ultimate goal is to have a brand with 100% sustainably made products. So far 99% of our t-shirts are made with eco friendly products, and all the inks on all of our products are Oeko-Tex™ certified, which means they are safe to print on all clothing and they reduce environmental waste. 

 We plan on continuing to launch more new eco-friendly products over time and are currently transitioning our sweatshirts, hats and hoodies to eco friendly alternatives.

 SOME MEASURES WE ARE TAKING TO ACHIEVE OUR SUSTAINABILITY GOAL :

 Reliable Quality

Good quality products are integral because the better the quality, the longer the product lasts. Before we add new products, we ensure our manufacturers and suppliers put them through durability, and wash/wear tests to make sure they’ll stand the test of time. This is important because producing long-lasting products means less new purchases in the future.  The suppliers we have vetted and have chosen to work with, produce high-quality products that last many washes, keeping print colors bright and the fabric super soft.

Packaging Waste

We use packaging made of post-consumer recycled plastics for all apparel orders shipped. We are currently increasing the recycled content and gradually switching to 90%–100% post-consumer recycled (PCR) plastic packaging for apparel products shipped from  in-house facilities all over North America.

PCR packaging protects products just as well, and looks almost identical to virgin plastic bags (bags created with no recycled materials). Plus, choosing PCR packaging is the right thing to do from an environmental perspective. Because when you produce items using recycled materials it saves virgin resources and requires less energy, thereby reducing the environmental impact plastic has on our planet.

Efficient Shipping

All of our t-shirts and jogger orders are delivered in the same region they’re fulfilled. Having fulfillment centers close to our customers is good both for business and the environment. Because it not only allows for faster shipping times and lower shipping costs, but it also helps with reducing CO₂ emissions produced when transporting orders.

Other Measures We Take:

  • We use LED lamps and recycle paper, plastic, glass, batteries, and electronics
  • We try to process as many documents as we can electronically to reduce paper use
  • We give back to our community and employees/contractors
